Meadowood Fall Festival - The annual Fall Festival was a great day. We had a wonderful turnout, and a good time was had by all.
October:
Halloween Party - Residents dressed up for Halloween and marched, led by Lou Wright, through the Health Center and Dining Room. Prizes were awarded for the most creative outfits.
December:
New Year's Eve Program - More than 50 residents took part in presenting "A Musical Trip Around the World," which delighted an enthusiastic audience. The two white "horses" stole the show.
February:
Valentine's Day - An accordian player strolled through the dining room to provide entertainment during this special dinner. The honored guests were three couples who met when they became Meadowood employees. Red was definitely the color of the evening.
April:
Variety Show - This special show, which was part of the Meadowood's 20th Anniversary celebration, played to an overflow crowd. Residents, staff and members of the extended Meadowood family performed in fine fashion. The evening's highlight was "The Wizard of Ahhs!" which featured the Executive Director in a cameo role as the Wizard.
May:
Meadowood Derby - While watching the real horse race on the big screen was enjoyed, our "jockeys" in their race silks were cheered on to the finish line by an enthusiastic crowd. The ladies' hats created a fashion statement; and awards were given.
