Memory Care

Memory Care in a Personal Environment

Memory Care is offered at Azalea House, a safe, 12-room neighborhood at the Meadowood community in Worcester, Pennsylvania, designed to provide personalized care to residents with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other forms of cognitive impairment. Our trained staff understands the needs of individuals requiring Memory Care support, and our Memory Care program focuses on each resident’s specific interests and physical and cognitive abilities.

Our homelike setting provides a comfortable, safe environment where residents are encouraged to participate in the decisions of their daily lives. Meals are served family-style in Azalea House, and the residence is connected to a secure outdoor garden with a walking path and benches. The garden provides sheltered freedom for the residents to enjoy the outdoors safely.

To be eligible for residence in this special program, a person must:

  • Have a primary diagnosis of cognitive impairment
  • Be able to benefit from a structured therapeutic program of activities designed to reduce feelings of anxiety, confusion, and frustration
  • Require a secure environment

Azalea House is licensed and regulated as a Personal care home by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.
