Take classes or personal training, or go it alone in our 8,000 square feet of fitness and wellness space, including two swimming pools, a cardio room, weight room, outdoor fitness patio, and wellness courtyard with outdoor kitchen and firepit. In addition to personal and small group training and wellness coaching, opportunities include more than 45 weekly land and aqua classes, including special classes such as tai chi, yoga, stick mobility, Parkinson’s in Motion, meditation, shadow boxing and much more.

Join in resident run groups and clubs including audio/visual, billiards, bridge, books, camera club, table tennis, quilting, bocce ball, golf, chorus, gardening, square dancing, woods and trails and Wii Bowling.
Nurture your artistic side in our studios and workshops: painting, art, exhibitions, ceramics, crafts, films/movies, jewelry and beading, woodworking and journaling.

Serve others by volunteering on campus at the Gosling’s Nest Gift Shop, helping with mail and water delivery in the Health Center, mobility assistance service, book reading, friendly visitors, therapy dog visits, creative arts, bingo, Attic Treasures, biographies, greeters, new resident mentoring program, and by participating in charitable causes throughout the year to benefit Alzheimer’s research, animal shelters and more. Or volunteer off-campus at local charities, schools, clubs and faith-based organizations.
Nourish your emotional needs with our men’s and women’s health and wellness series, wellness visits and support group offerings throughout the year. If you are unsure who to call or how to access resources, the Fitness and Wellness Department acts as a concierge service to connect you with what you need.
Feed your spirituality with Bible studies, worship services, morning prayer group, transitions group, prayer walks, guided meditation and mindfulness practice. At Meadowood, there is a rich diversity among residents’ spiritual beliefs, and this retirement community embraces people of all faiths and traditions. A chaplain is available to support residents, team members and their families in their spiritual journeys and offer encouragement in times of transition, crisis and need.
