We currently have the following position open in our Life Enrichment Department:
Life Enrichment Lead, (Full time, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm) – Lead activities daily for personal care, nursing care and memory impaired residents, in this hands-on position. Assist the Director of Life Enrichment in the implementation of this resident activities program, in support of residents’ care plans, by leading activities, as well as assisting Director with assessments. The Lead will take an active role in meeting the residents’ social, physical, mental, sensory and emotional needs, in addition to providing supervision to other Activities Assistants.
Requirements: Hands-on experience leading activities for residents in a Life Plan Community. Experience with managing others. Creative and energetic, with positive attitude. Works well in a team setting, as well as independently. Must have computer skills, including Microsoft Word & Excel. Experience with electronic medical records systems is preferred. An Associate’s degree or certification in recreational therapy, preferred, with at least two years’ experience in long term care setting, leading activities for personal care, nursing care and memory impaired residents. Experience with performance and documentation of assessments required. Weekends and holidays in rotation, are required.
