We love for visitors to get to know Meadowood by attending an engaging seminar or touring our naturally beautiful campus. We offer in-person tours, as well as a variety of live seminars, from resident Q&As to information sessions. Please join us for one (or all!) of the opportunities listed below. Feature Artist: Michael Adams
Michael Adams is a free-lance illustrator, designer, and artist. He is well known in the collectible industry and designs product lines with a variety of themes and subject matter. Michael has illustrated numerous children’s books and is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. As a fine artist, he is recognized for his portraits of birds and landscapes in watercolor, acrylic, and sculpture. Michael participates in local and regional exhibitions. Our stairwell mural is an example of his collaborative work.
From 1992 – 1998 and 2006 – 2014, he taught at the University of the Arts as a Senior Lector in the Illustration program. Michael’s courses included Pictorial Foundation, Mediums and Techniques, and Children’s Book Illustration. He was formerly the President of the Greater Norristown Art League, where he contines to teach watercolor classes.
As the saying goes, ‘You’ve got to see it to believe it’
You can look at all the great photos on our website, but until you actually set foot on the Meadowood campus, you can’t begin to appreciate all it has to offer. You’ll notice a certain spring in the step of our residents, hear the soothing sounds of nature. And you’ll know why it’s truly a community.
